Located in the Lowden State Park, near Oregon, IL, is The Eternal Indian, a towering 48-foot tall statue dedicated in 1911. Visible from Highway 2, the statue is located on a tall bluff overlooking the Rock River. There is a small place to pull over on Highway 2 to view the statue or head on into Lowden State Park to see it up close. The 536,770 pound hollow statue is claimed to be the second largest monolithic concrete statue in the world.
